I have that. It is a very capable router. Just be sure to get the one with the variable speed (it is the one that has the rubber grip). Single speed routers are so much less useful.
The only thing that router is limited by, is the fact that it won't take a 1/2" collet.

Not really, at least not for the type of work this kind of router is for. This type of router is for smaller detail work and it also works well for a dedicated edging router. Not really the type of tool you are going to use for deep mortises or other heavy plunge work. That said they do make a plunge base for this router if you really want one.

I have one as well. Very satisfied with mine. Have used it extensively for laminate countertops. Nice tool, especially at that price.
