GOP18V-28N side mount battery, 2.8 degree tool action

GOP18V-34N end mount battery, 3.4 degree tool action

Anything besides personal preference of the battery mount location to consider? Use will be at least partially paintscraping.

Thanks

I've been wanting one of these and didn't know the battery location option was a thing. However, looking at it now, with larger batteries, I think the end mount option would be best for flush type cutting.

There's more to it than the battery configuration. The 34 has more aggressive cutting, less vibration, and supposedly better ergonomics.

Here's a comparison that discusses all of that.

Bare tool 34N is $99 on Amazon. I would get that one. And thanks for making this thread. I just ordered one.

Anyone have any experience with the Milwaukee versions vs the Bosch?
I have the Milwaukee. I can’t compare it to the Bosch, but mine has worked well with no issues. It’s a total game changer with drywall and nice to have when cutting door jambs.

I have the side mount and I love it. I wasn't even aware of the option but I can see where it may matter on occassion.

No. But the M12 Fuel was getting positive reviews here. They list it as 3.9 degree oscillation.

I noticed Fein 700 had 2x2.0 listed somewhere. Other places, 3.8. I looked a little at it for the battery compatibility with Bosch.

I have the flush mount and love it. Have used it more than I thought I would.
