Bosch 7.5 amp angle grinder...any good?

Saw these 7.5 amp 4 1/2" Bosch angle grinders at Lowes today.They are $59 a piece or $49 a piece if you buy two.I need a new grinder and was wondering they are any count.If they are I might go ahead get two of them and give my dad one.

I just bought a skil 4.5 angle grinder at lowes on monday for 29.99 and it works great.

I bought one of those Bosch grinders for my extensive "how quickly can I kill it" angle grinder program. I found it to be of identical quality to the $9.99 "Drill Master" from Harbor Freight.

I prefer having several of the HF grinders around than one middle of the road grinder.

I have used a couple of the Bosch, nothing to write home about. The best 4 1/2 made at the right price is the B&D from Walmart. One of the first ones the head never got hot, ran it like a rented mule in a real fab shop, at 30$ (on sale at Kmart for 28), has outlasted several "quality" grinders hands down and the HF do not compare. I am tired of pricey grinders, if they keep making these this good will never buy anything else, have talked to a couple other pros running them, really good. A home/hobby shop would never give one the continious use we do. Well proven, one of the best values in tools anywhere.

If it is the blue bosch (professional range) and not the green(diy range) then it is a bargain as they are a great grinder. In fact most of the welders fabricators I know have the bosch grinder as their first choice.

Bosch use to make a very durable grinder. I don't know if they still do. You could buy a metabo. those things are tough. the newer Bosch grinders I have used did not last very long.

I have two of the 1380SLIM grinders, work well and brushes are easily replaced. I think I paid about $40 a piece and am happy with them.
