My 10.8v PS-20 pocket driver was having problems (stalling out, stopping for no reason) it had the provantage 3 year warranty (bought it in fall '08). So I called Bosch CS and actully got a real person who spoke plain understandable english!

Anyhow, they gave me the repair service center address to send it to and I got the tool back yesterday (about 10 day turnaround), they replaced an electronic modoule and the motor. Sounds & works good as new! I guess I must have over used it a little :D

I was having a problem with my Bosch Jigsaw and called the customer service line. The lady I spoke to was very helpful and solved my problem.

Like you, I was surprised to be speaking to a real person, in the USA, who spoke plain english.

Cool. I was just filing away my warranty for my Bosch jigsaw (I think it's a 3 year warranty), and wondering if it's worth it to keep the papers. Because nowadays, so often, it seems warranty is something that's not worth it by the time you deal with it.

But so far, on the warranty work I've needed: Dotco and Hilti, they've been good.

Bosch's service, along with their quality tools, is earning them a great reputation. If the other guys don't step up Bosch is going to start eating up the market. I know since the buy out Porter Cable has gone down hill.

I had my big cordless impact start making some odd sounds for awhile (which then went away), so I called bosch customer service and said, well it seems fine now, but it was making noises. It was under warranty and about a year old (3 year warranty deal) so she sent me a brand new unit, and said to just drop the old one in the same box and stick the included label on it and send it back. I had the new one I think in 2 days. Amazing customer service. That sold me on Bosch tools....well that and the performance of their impacts....damn.
