I realize this is a zombie thread, but wanted to post my experience on the Bosch. I had the DW708 for years, and it served me well (still have it, though don't use it). I got the Bosch years ago when I got a deal on it.
When I was researching at the time, there were complaints about parallelism (where the blade is not parallel to the track so is not correctable by adjustment unless you shim the head) on every brand. Every brand also had complaints about flexing, and pretty much every type of issue/problem you can name. All the of the good brands (Dewalt, Makita, Bosch, etc.) were roughly equivalent as far as kudos and complaints, so I just decided to get what fit my needs design wise and got the Bosch.
So far it's been great. It's no more or less accurate than the Dewalt, and it saves a lot of space behind the saw. They both **** at dust control, the Bosch may be a LITTLE better.
I do find a little more the Bosch flexes a little easier (my perception), but it didn't take too long to get the hang of sliding it without flexing, and it's not like the Dewalt didn't flex either. For example, I found that if I stand so my shoulder is directly in line with the glide mechanism, there is little to no flex.
The one thing that took me a little while to figure out was that initially, the blade brake on the Bosch caused the blade to move ever so slightly. If the blade was held down, and the front of the blade was still in the material, it would cause a slight 'divot' in the cut edge where the edge of the blade was. My problem, at least for me, was that I was using an ultra thin kerf blade (Ridgid 100 tooth). The blade was so thin that the slight wobble caused by the brake was magnified at the edge of the blade. I switched to a 'heavier' thin kerf blade (Diablo), and it became pretty much non-existent. Even more so when using a full kerf blade.
I am getting the 'upgrade' bug again though...
