I was using a non impact rated socket adapter on my Bosch impact and the adapter broke with the "connection" end still in the quick change bit holder. Any way to get this out? I assume it has twisted slightly and has thus locked itself inside. When I push the end of the quick change like you would to insert or remove a bit, the broken part won't fall out. Surely, I'm not the first to do this. :)

I've ordered a replacement bit holder and I've now ordered a set of Bosch Impact Tough Nutsetters Assorted Set that has the socket already part of the adapter. But I'd sure like to know how to fix my current one so I can finish the job.

Thanks for the video and links. My issue is within a quick change bit holder and it does not have a locking ring or a way to disassemble. However, I may have a small enough screw extractor. I didn't think about trying that. It's broken about 3/16 below the rim of the holder and I can't get a hold of it with anything. Magnet didn't work either. I think it twisted within the holder and is really stuck. I did try tapping it along with tapping a screw driver onto it while pulling up (opening) the holder hoping it would move and fall out once I inverted the holder. No luck.

I'm going to try to get a small hole drilled using my drill press tomorrow. Then follow up with a left hand drill bit in a hand drill and screw extractor if I have one small enough.
