Man this is a great site.

Was at Home Depot for like 2 hours yesterday even looked through the tool department and knew nothing about this offer till I got home and saw it here. Went back today and picked one up, they're listed at $179 and no mention of the sale at all but price check comes up with the $99 price. There's still 4 left at the Home Depot on Jefferson in Los Angeles. Thanks for the tip.

Any chance lowes is doing this/will do this? There isn't a home depot around here.

No. When I bought mine last week, the Bosch rep was there. He told me that HD is no longer selling Bosch to focus sales on thweir line of Ridgid tools, and Milwaukee which they have invested heavily in (the company itself), which may be why you dont see Milwaukee tools at Lowes anymore.

The Bosch rep was a great guy. He had an extra battery for the Impactor in his HD sales kit (which was no longer needed), so he took me outside and gave it to me.

Big mistake for HD IMHO, Rigid is total garbage, I don't know if Milwaukee quality has lapsed or not but I have never liked Milwaukee battery powered tools, their portbable bandsaws and Hole Hawks are the only things I'd buy. Bosch has always been high quality even with their change in manufacturing countries.

Bummer, nothing at my local HD, only had the PS20-2 for a rather high price-tag.

It makes sense that Home Depot would shift more to Ridgid & Milwaukee. Both of those brands are owned by TTI out of Hong Kong. TTI also owns Ryobi that has an exclusive relationship with Home Depot.

If this is true, I wonder if there will be more discounts on other Bosch power tools. When I was at my local store there were stacks of the I-drivers left.

Home Depot is run by bean counters in some corp office. Catch one of the older employees in the mood to ***** and you can get a ear full.

7/15 the rebate for the little one runs out, but I haven't entirely convinced myself that I don't need something a bit more powerful. I may try to hunt one down today though.

Hey, if HD is dropping Bosch, maybe more stuff is due for clearance pricing?

When I checked a couple days ago, the HD near me had one left. Originally $199 marked down to $99. Too bad I just bought mine from Lowes a couple weeks ago for more.
I got to use the little Impactor yesterday. WOW! That little thing KICKS ***!

Anyone use this to work on their vehicles? I need to take out a dashboard
and I am thinking this is might be nicer than using a stubby air ratchet if clearance allows.

Do you think this will damage my 1/4" chrome sockets? I probably want to get impact sockets for this right? I ordered the hex to 1/4{ and 3/8" adapters from sears but I don't think they are impact rated

Since I got some belated birthday money over the weekend, I picked one up at lunch today. They still had at least 3 of them on the shelf when I left - some were behind Milwaukee 18v drills.

I bought one, and while the hammering force doesn't seem very large, it "beats up" the contact area of the fastener, so I think impact may be a good idea for regular use.

I popped for the Dewalt pivot driver and impact bits, $13, but skipped one the set of 4 pivoting SAE sockets for $20.

Used mine today to mount panels back on the fire truck. I drove over 100 1/4-20 nuts. I just let it run until the socket quit moving and did not break the bolt, the 3/8 air ratchet snapped several (okay, the person running it did not stop when they should have :wtf:) bolts when it was used.

Thanks again for pointing this sale out.
