If you don't need that much power, the 12V cordless version is very cheap as a bare tool:

$79 ($20 off $100 available)

This tool works great for the type of work I do. I also have one of the corded Bosch OSMs, but it is a lot bigger, heavier, and corded of course. I don't think I'll be using it much now that I have the cordless.

I have an earlier Bosch that uses the universal type blades. The one in this thread uses the Bosch Starlock blades which, while high quality like nearly all Bosch bits and blades, are more expensive. According to the Q&A on Amazon the universal blades won’t fit this model.

Bosch is great until you go to buy blades..super expensive and very little in the aftermarket selection. Go with cordless Dewalt..tons of aftermarket stuff.

One of the aftermarket brands of blades has a universal adaptor included, can't recall which one though, got it at Lowe's or Menards.

Most brands of blades don't require the adapter, the blades are pretty much interchangeable between the brands. Pretty much any aftermarket blade will fit the Bosch (or any other) without an adapter.
