Bosch quality control rant

**Rant start

I have always been a fan of Bosch tools. The quality and performance has always been top notch at the price point of their offerings. However, I recently picked-up the CLPK27-120 drill/ impact driver combo, and had nothing but problems. With the first set the clutch would get stuck on the drill between 1st and 2nd gears, I went ahead and exchanged that one. I brought the 2nd set home and started testing things out, and noticed that the variable trigger on the drill is not variable! It’s either all or nothing. Now I have to drive to Lowes and fight through traffic so I can get the silly thing exchanged for the 2nd time. Talk about unlucky!

Rant end**

Very unlucky, the impact and drill we use are great, they take a ton of abuse! Hope you get a good one next time!

Some say/think Lowes and or Home Cheapo buy the factory 2nds. But when I purchased Bosch they were German made, now a lot is farmed out to China. I do like the Bocsh jiggy blades that are Swiss made. I do understand.

Thanks, JASTECH

the last Bosch item I purchased was a Swiss made jigsaw... when they begin to make stuff in China, and other cheap Asian labor markets, I went to Festool, Snapon and other US/EU made brands.. Bosch is more a name than a unique productline these days.
