First Post!! What a great Forum!!
I bought a small Bostitch 6 gallon oiled air compressor (mod: CWC156) at a garage sale for 15$ (GLOAT!), its great for nail guns and a tire inflation or two, but the problem is that the pressure switch (appears to be aftermarket, but not sure) allows the tank to drop down too far before it kicks the compressor on, ≈75psi. This is too low for a framing nail gun or a 2" brad into hardwood. I tried to adjust the pressure switch and it fixed the problem, but created another; it would not kick off until 135 psi which the tank is not rated for. I have used compressors before with a separate adjustment for the high and low side of the switch, so my question is can I get another switch and replace what I have or are the switches specific to the motor on the compressor? If this is possible can someone point me in the direction of a usable one? As inexpensive as possible.
Thanks,
Jake
