Haven't used my Bostitch N60FN finish nailer in a couple of years. Pull it out the other day, fires a few nails and quits.
Air starts leaking out the trigger valve. Pretty common failure on these, so I figure I need a new one.
Took it apart and everything inside is lubed and moves.
Put it together, slight air leak around trigger valve, but it still wont't fire. IIRC correctly a leaky trigger valve can keep it from working?
Any tips on other problem areas? I want to fix it right the first time.

I have that same gun, if I recall there is a small oring on the tip of the trigger valve that blows and stops gun from working. I have replaced a few valves but I honestly can't remember if ever had to change anything else. they are old workhorses.

I had one from a garage sale. Trigger valve leaked. Piston rod that drives the nails was broke. Tossed it out. The trigger mechanism seems to be a common leak from what i read. It will stop the piston from working properly.

I happened to have some small O rings that fixed the trigger valve. But it may only be temporary.

I had Porter Cable nailer that someone gave me would fire once or maybe twice and then stop. It had been in storage a long time. If I remember right it was also leaking some air around the trigger. Took it all apart it looked good all oiled nothing worn that I could tell. Turned out there was hardened grease or wax plugging the exhaust and it wouldn't fully cycle through

Cleaning the ports with compressed air did the trick for me.
