Bottle Jack Identification

I have two old bottle jacks I would like to identify and purchase rebuild kits for them from Blackhawk Parts. Both slowly sink under load.

The one without paint is approximately 50-70 years old and I’m not sure of the brand. It has: “EJ100.016” stamped into the bottom of its base. I’ve Googled this number and found:

https://www.hcrcnow.com/shop/seal-kits/product/10607

I don’t recall the Enerpac brand ever being mentioned in conjunction with this jack. Does anyone know what brand it is? Does anyone know what the number “EJ100.106” means? Does it relate to a brand or rebuild kit

The other jack, with red paint, is approximately 40-50 years old and has no identifying marks on it. Does anyone have one like it and knows what brand it is? If so, perhaps you might know the model number as well….?

Thank you,

Hi @Tool_Freek, the schematics on the website you linked do look very similar to your jack. They have the measurements for the ram, pump and base, that would be a good start. Since there is a note stating that the kit only fits certain models, what I would do is open my jack and measure it's seals and see if they look like a good match.

As far as the other bottle jack I think is very hard to identify the exact kit needed with no markings, I would probably open it up and measure the seals and contact your local hydraulic seals store to see if they can put a kit together for you.

Good luck, let us know how it goes and post some pictures of the finished product!

Hydraulic Repair Seal Kit

  • Ram Diameter - 1-1/2
  • Pump Diameter - 7/16
  • Size of Base - 4-3/16 x 6-3/4
OEM Number: 5-1001

Alterego,
Thank you for your reply. It may take a while to work my way through these rebuilds. However, when I have a complete story to tell that will hopefully help someone else, I’ll post complete follow up information.
Thank you again,
