I've used jack stands (different from the linked ones) with my jack tray to support one end of the vehicle (usually the lighter non-engine end) so I could move the bridge jack to the opposite end and have all four wheels off the runways to rotate tires. Wouldn't replace my bridge jack, however. Just obviates the expense of owning two bridge jacks, which I'd love to have but too expensive for the few times when I need all four wheels off the runways.
I also used one of my jack stands in the jack tray this week to hold the starter up when pulling and replacing the starter on my 67 corvette--had to pull the starter to replace the solenoid and those OEM starters are too heavy to hold one handed while trying to unbolt/bolt up the starter with the other hand.
