Just noticed that the bottle opener included in this year's Wera Advent Calendar seems puny compared to previous years :wtf:

Possibly a cost saving measure, a more compact version, user feedback redesign, who knows. :bounce:

I hope they don't change their screwdriver handles

Manufacturers are trying to save money wherever they can. Germany isn’t great economically right now.

Don’t you want variety? This year’s is a compact, roadie.

And isn’t the bottle opener always on Christmas Eve? Are you opening early this year?

In regard to that Wera bottle opener’s size, I think it’s just that they need to come up with a “new” design to keep the bus rolling. So it’s matching colors with the Advent calendar tools & a small handle size now. … Some collectors will go miles to get one of these. …

Kind regards,
Olli

Haven't gotten to the new Wera bottle opener in the advent calendar yet. I'm trying to stick to the opening schedule unless I missed it.
Love my KTM opener, I have heard they stopped putting them in the tool kits these days.

These are kind of a fun item to collect.

Anybody else go this one from Channellock?

The one blue one I have is the current iteration of Channellock.

That one I believe is from 1998 when I bought a 250exc. The only current KTM I have is an 06 950 Adventure.

Covering the rest of the people with small hands, who thinks those are 8”.
I always tell my brother that the only reason he thinks he’s well-endowed is because he has baby-sized hands.

Not gonna lie. My favorite one that I have is the Quinn (Harbor Freight) one. I just took it for granted… went back a few months later to grab more for friends and I guess they were disco’d.
