bottom door seal

Trying to replace the bottom door seal on both my doors. Can't get the seal to slide onto the track. Tried silicone spray, trimming the "T" on the gasket ever so slightly to no avail.

Homey Depot and Lowes don't have the track that screws onto the bottom of the door that holds the gasket. I guess I'll have to source this online?

Any other options for the bottom door gasket?

Is it the right size and shape? I did mine a couple years ago, and it has to feed in to the track straight or it hangs up.

Have you tried a local garage door company? Take a short piece of the old gasket with you to their location to verify it will fit.

Its horrible doing it alone. I bet I made 200 trips back and forth trying to feed it across my 16' door.

How does it compare to the old gasket?

It matches the old seal. Came flat so as mentioned it's hard to line everything up and pull at the same time...recruited my son to help with that. At this point I'd like to just get new track and seals for the bottom of the doors, but no one around here stocks that apparently.

X2. LOTS of silicone spray. Push it in from the end, then use pliers to pull. Keeping it straight so it doesn't pinch or kink is challenging, but it really helps.

Check the aluminum retainer for pinched spots. Flat screwdriver run entire length to open where it may have closed on a rock or piece of debris. Retainers are often brand or door style specific. Local door guy may have them in stock.

Vaseline the seal and the track, then slide it in. When you get it all the way across though, go past where it needs to stop, then pull it back. Pulling it through will stretch it, so you need try and work the stretch out.
