Bottom plate exposure protection?

Before I put sheeting up inside the garage should I screw or nail a strip of flashing over the bottom plate to protect it from water when washing the floor? The bottom plate is treated 2x4 like it’s supposed to be but I was thinking washing the floor wouldn’t be good for it over time and the sheeting will not touch the floor.

Suggestions?

Yes and you can buy garage door bottom weatherstripping.

Just tuck the flashing in under the sill and trap it behind the sheeting.
