Just wondering if anyone's got experience buying from them. They've got a decent handful of Snappy boxes on the fleabay. I'm just kinda curious, I've had my eye on a few of them for months, and none have moved, even though the prices are halfway decent.

They're a couple hour drive from me and I have a utility trailer, so picking up in person is no problem, no messing with/paying for shipping or damage from it, or worries about not getting what I paid for. I've messaged them once about a cash price and they were negotiable that way, though not what I'd expect for an item listed with best offer, and not having to pay selling fees... but I didn't have cash in hand either, so I'm not going to judge too harshly.

The only feedback I've heard of them was from the pushy Rock n Roll Cab salesman, who claimed their boxes are all from dealerships who had fixed cabinets installed. No idea if that's true or not... or why, as he implied, that would make me want to not buy them. :dunno:

I know this thread is old, Very OLD, but like yourself I was eyeing a couple of their box. I know the snapon krl1023 goes for 11 grand new. I got the same box from them for 5 grand cash no tax. They said it was 6 month old so I drove up there from Virginia which is about a 3 and a half hour drive and inspected the box and was amazed they were selling it for so cheap. I asked them before I bought it off ebay if I were to pay them cash what was their bottom price. Listing price was 5500 cash they wanted 5000 saved myself 500 bucks or more like 6 grand from the snap on guy LOL. They had quite the collection and I asked them how they get so many boxes, they told me they buy boxes from people who no longer wants them or change their minds. So if you want a great deal on boxes I highly recommend them if you close enough.

They had a mica green krl1024 for the longest time, not often you see them for sale let alone for the price they wanted. If I didn't dislike the mica green on my krl1032 I'd have been more interested.

You must be very careful buying a box from this man. Some of the boxes have contract money owed to Snap-on and they can come take the box back from whomever bought it .

this has happened it is a fact....

We are on here now too, please don’t hesitate to contact us if interested in a box. Never had an issue with Snap On coming after a box and happy to provide paid in full information on any box if requested. Anyone can contact Snap On credit to run a serial number on any box they’re buying, makes no sense to sell one with money owed.

Why do people continue to believe this bullpoop? Snap on can NOT come take your box if you bought a used box with money owed. They can TRY to bully and cajole you into voluntarily giving it to them, but they have no legal right to an untitled piece of equipment on their unsecured loans. This lie needs to stop.

I have always thought 1st State was a first class operation. If I could sell my 60" Epiq box I'd buy one from them in a heartbeat. I need a little more room than the 60" provides and would like to move up to an 84" Epiq.
