So I picked up an old Curtis brand air compressor today for dirt cheap, but know nothing about this thing. Figured I'd throw some photos up and see if anybody here knows about these things. Is this a good brand? Looks pretty solid.

From looking at the tags, it seems to have been made in 1971, has a 120 gallon tank, has a 7.5HP 3 phase motor, and looks mostly complete.

Have a look-see and tell me what you guys know. I would be most interested in the value of this thing, as well as about 3 phase electricity.

Looks like a keeper to me, the old iron is a quality product. Three phase is possible (phase converter) for the 7.5 hp motor but it will take a good size circuit. Is this for a garage or shop?

Everything I have heard is that compressors in particular are not good to run off of converters. I don't know why exactly and I have never tried. They do make 7.5 hp single phase motors, but they are expensive.
