Bought air compressor, need accessories

Don't mock - I couldn't justify a 2-stage and I think it will work just fine for me. I have an IR 2131QT 1/2" impact already.

But I hate junk accessories. I got a skeevy feeling looking at the accessories at TSC and figured even if they were good they were overpriced. (TSC stuff ranges from junk to reasonable IMHO.)

I'm looking for recommendations on air hose, hose reel, regulator(?), filter(?), water collector(?), blow gun, and tire inflator.

I will probably not use the compressor daily. The installation will be in my utility pole building with gravel floor, over in the corner with the concrete pad and 220v wiring. It's humid in there and there is no climate control.

Both Harbor Freight & Northern Tool have this 50 ft - 3/8" Hose Reel for around $80 or less when it's on sale. Plus if you get a coupon it's even cheaper. I have one and it works fine for my use.

I've also bought a couple of the Goodyear hoses @ Northern Tool and can't complain about them either. They have those on sale too from time to time.

I have yet to really find a regulator / filter that I like that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. If someone else knows of a good one that is cheap, speak up!

Between harbor freight, and Northern, you should be able to get good enough quality on the items listed. But the hose on the reel won't last. It's cheap enough, but mine is eighteen feet in the air. I should have changed it when it went up. Who woulda known, oh well the reel works good enough. Northern has some oversized blow guns, I love mine. I also picked up the I R regulator, didn't like the cheap one. As far as inflator, you can't go wrong with Milton.

You must have missed the super bargains a couple months ago on IR closeout thread. There were combo F/R/O (filter / regulator / oiler) that were ARO brand from $17 to $25 bucks !!! There also was a 100 ft hose reel for $100 but those sold wicked fast.

flexzilla hoses and milton fittings, V size, if you are wanting full performance out of your impacts.

You can't go wrong with Milton's regulator or filter/water separator, and their fittings are the only ones to get. Keep in mind, there are different styles of quick connects. The standard seems to be style "M" and should work with other fittings you may have in use presently. I have not tried the other styles, but if you are starting from scratch go for it.

Yes I did miss it... Usually BSP & NPT are pretty close, I've re-tapped a BSP thread before wasn't a big deal... I'll check the page over, there is really nothing I *need* at the moment...

Spent some (ok, a lot) of time on the IR outlet store. Trying to narrow down a piggyback filter/regulator choice.

My compressor has a 3/4" NPT coming off the tank. It would seem to be most robust to add a 3/4" shutoff ball valve and 3/4" piggyback filter/reg. Agree, or should I bush down to 3/8" or 1/2" off the tank?

Also, I assume 5 micron is fine for non-painting applications?

Yeah I would keep the size the largest that is practical to maximize your airflow. I run 3/4" black pipe through my shop and that gives plenty air to multiple outlets at the same time.
