Bought another tool box yesterday

My $1200 Snap On KRL7022 is home

I bought this Snap On tool box off ebay yesterday. Paying $1200 for it should be picking it up on Monday afternoon. It is a KRL7022 only used in a home garage, looks to be in good condition.

Actually he says he won it in a contest years ago. I verified with snap on that there is no money owed on it. I would only be using it in my home garage. But my son is going to school to be a mechanic and I may give it to him.

Well my son does **** I already gave him a nice Cornwell 7 drawer cart to get him going. Thinking we would spend more on tools and worry about a bigger box later. But he gets up every day for school at 4:30am, has great grades and 2 part times jobs. Some of his buddies have bought new KRA boxes through the student program so I keep reminding him that tools are more important than a new box. So for now its going to be dads new box but I did buy an old KR1000 recently that I am really liking.

thats a real good deal. there are a few on my local craigslist that keep getting bumped with a price of 4 grand. will never sell.

Does anyone know what the retail price for one of these was/is? And then what is the mechanics price for one of these? $1200 seems like a killer deal and I see some around me but are in the $3k range. Could always send em a $1000-1200 offer and see where it goes...

Reserved my uhaul trailer with a ramp today and picking it up on Sunday.

Just a quick picture of the KRL7022 I picked up this morning. Only wiped the dust off of it and slid it in place. The guy gave me the Snap On clock you see on the lower drawer it is magnet backed.

That is an extremely good deal. I paid more then twice that for mine from a retired snapon guy about 6 years ago.

I didn't realize until I got it home that it also has stainless trim on the top edge of the drawerswhich I think was an option not standard.
