Asked them if that price is for the floor model (there were 2) or a brand new in box one. Was informed it was the floor models. Ended up talking to the manager and explained that for $1500 for a new in box unit was okay. But buying a "dent and scratch" floor model they would have to do better on the price. Keep in mind that the floor models are in exceptional condition. He came back with a price of $1275. Told him to make it an even $1200. He mumbled something about being under cost and I replied that he needs to get rid of these ones. And that eventually the remaining one will probably be sold for under a grand at some point. So he agrees to the $1200. Paid with the Lowes credit card and got another 5% off. So final price (before tax and delivery) was $1140. I am happy. I have been ogling this box in its many incarnations for many years. Always saying someday. Well someday finally came. I just hope that it arrives early tomorrow so I will have all day to get it set up and loaded up.
