If so, that is the one (or it's equivalent) I got for my son about 5 years ago. Good starter set.
I think everyone agrees the ratchets are not the best, but replace with better ones, (older Craftsman or one of the better made other brand ratchets), and sell these (to the ignorant..) and you should do reasonably well. (You are 1/3 there already I think...)

Yes my addicition started a long time ago! Maybe after a year of meeting my ex. He is the one who pushed me after all the ******** he caused and still is cauing to do this and make a decsion to learn how to work on cars. I just want to rub it in his face like haha, im not the lowlife you prude! I'm actually going to get somewhere and finish school unlike him.

Good set to start with. Work with the ratchets, as see how they work for you. The kits in general have US made ratchets, and while not the greatest ratchet out there. Does the job.

Looks like a great start.
RP ratchets are not the end of the world. Replace them if they fail - but otherwise rock the RPs and spend your bucks on other things.

I got that set for 
about 8 years ago. I was starting out then as well, so it was perfect. I just moved all the sockets to my riding box this fall when I got a 170 piece socket set for a great price from sears.com. Its a great set but it does have some holes in it...ie wrench sizes and some sockets, so if you are like me and want to fill the holes, it just cheaper to buy another set. But for now...rock on!
As far as the ratchets, I would go to any hardware or autopart store and get a cir-clip plier so you can grease them. They work a TON better with Super Lube in them. Makes them a bit smoother. Very easy to do...just be aware of the ball-bearing in there! I used mine for years with zero problems...though I didn't like the 1/2 drive...to short, would take anything tough off. Aways can add the HF extendable 1/2 ratchet for $15.
Now you need a box for all those things...

Not really into rubies. I'm the kind of girl that don't care to get jewlery for presents. I would be happy with shotgun shells See my ex doesn't relize that he had it so easy with me!Ratchets, sockets, some wrenchs. Haven't got it yet as I order online. Going to get it soon thou!!

See, I had to work at finding a woman that would tolerate my interests when I was dating. I did OK though:

Congrats! I see 12 gauge being cradled, waiting for geese or duckies? I get thousands of them flying over my acreage to the lake across the road. They fly so low I can see their webbed feet, so thick at times you can't hear anything but their wings. Anywho, somebody will buy this place and enjoy them.

Awww, yea me and my ex did a lot together. Flea markets, Pawn shops, working on ****, and anything really that was outdoors or countrish. Wish things didn't end, but oh well. Will have to find a new flea market buddy unless he puts everything aside and quits being a ***. In his head he thinks I want to date him still and I don't just wants to be a friend.

Yep. I live by a lake, so when duck season comes you get woke up by loud gun shots. Last time I went duck hunting was 5 years ago. Haven't went since than. Doesn't seem to big here in Michigan.

For me, I get a lot more kick out of buying or acquiring things that you can no longer easily buy in stores. As it is already, a large amount of my Craftsman stuff is all Chinese in the stores where as it's US in my tool box. I get a lot of satisfaction from that.
I remember the Xmas I got my first tool kit. I'm keeping it, won't ever get rid of it. It's one of those larger Craftsman sets as well. I can look back in 20 or 30 years and handle the tools that took my first car apart, that got me to work and back, etc. Good stuff.

I can't wait to go to the flea market this year, cause their are good deals on tools. Last year i wanted to buy some oil squirts as I think the small ones are cute. I already requested the first one off! I'm ready for it to come!! My ex good great deals when we went together. I know I will be waiting in line early. I want to be first in line. We always got there early cause the place gets packed.

Because if I needed a tool I would just ask the ex if I could borrow his or ask him to fix something for me
Plus i never would have thought I would be so intrested in learning about auto after dating him. Wasn't to much into it, but now I want to get tools and work on things. I just always liked sitting right next to him and helping him when I could when he would take something apart. Just thought it was kind of cool. He was my redneck dream I guess and everything I liked. I wasn't going to take auto class, but when my pinion seals started leaking on my jeep it made me think I want to be able to work on my own jeep, plus after my break-up with the ex it pushed me to get my life on track and relize I don't need these immuture games and I want to make myself better than him and show myself I can do this. He study auto, but than quit cause he said he had no time and his boss won't let him. Just a ******** excuess. My college degree was supposed to be Natural Resources, but I didn't seem to intrested. If I can work on my own jeep and tear something apart and put it together it will just make me feel more indpendent that I can do this myself. I have never really been a girly girl. I do like to wear make-up and shop, but I have always just been more intrested in outdoor things. Give me something like a quad or a shotgun I will love you forever.
I am already holding myself back from buying a ************* jeep to practice working on, plus my dad told me where are you going to store it and I told him in the garage right next to his corvette and he just laughed at me.
I think my favorite class will be breaks. My dad already is saying once I take a break class and learn that he wants me to practice on his corvette and he will help guide me.

The smart guys know that a necklace or a handful of MAC make up items is way cheaper than a handful of tools or car parts

I grew up a city boy and dated a girl in the middle-of-nowhere Illinois years ago whose father taught me the rules of hunting , skinning rabbits , field dressing deer, running a pig farm and driving an IH combine. She could gig for frogs, skin a rabbit (watch out for the liver if not frost season yet) , taught me what a "dog box" was and still managed to love to wear Vikky Secrets things with big ole PINK logos on them.
Knowledge and a propensity to learn is what's important, no matter the person nor task.
Find someone who does a lot of teardowns or mechanical work and ask to hang around and watch. it's amazing how watching someone do something is very valuable. Hell, I won't even go into what people term as the know how to "cook" at home these days.
Tools don't go bad. Fixing things is a skill you'll use for a lifetime.
Trust me.
