Bought my last compressor today

This afternoon, I pulled the trigger on a new Eaton air compressor. Actually, my dad and I each bought one. I fully expect this to last the rest of my life and I'm SO happy to get rid of the noisy oil free compressor that I've had for way too long.

I got a 60 gallon, 5hp, vertical tank. It should be delivered in 10 days. I should mention that Eaton has a sale going on till the end of the year and that pushed me over the edge. Full disclosure, I have no connection with Eaton other than I just sent them some $$.

As soon as you discover a blast cabinet, you will trade it off and buy an 80 gal two stage, 7.5 hp, 25 cfm unit.

Your going to love it. I got mine last winter. Eaton must be doing well. I know a few people that have bought them in the last year.

That is a super nice compressor!! I dont need one near that big, but I have been looking at all kinds of portable compressors. Is the eaton portable ones the have on their website good ones????

What's better than new shop toys - the ANTICIPATION of new shop toys!!!! Enjoy the wait!!

That's what I thought. But then I used to run my Sand blaster off a 25 gallon Crapsman. Blast for 30 seconds wait for 60..... and so on.

Thanks y'all! This is a HUGE step up from my little compressor that has served me adequately for the last 15 years. When I told my wife last night that I'd bought this, she was grateful as she was very tired of hearing the noisemaker.

So what kinda stuff ya got planned for it?

My plan for this compressor is just to air up my wheelbarrow tires. Actually, most of my air tool work is aircraft stuff; rivet guns , etc. While I don't yet have a bead blaster, I live fairly close to TP Tools and plan to get one before I move away. I won't be a heavy used of the bead blaster so I'm fairly confident I'll be OK with this compressor.

You don't need nothing just hook both compressors up inline and when there pressure switch drop's below there set pressure that compressor turns on, I've had 2 compressors plumbed up this way for over 20 years and works fine.
