The climate in the community is making rethink security etc.
Has anyone seen a box that we can enclose the overhead door controller in ? The reason is every time we slide lock the garage door someone will forget to unlatch the door and lock.
I was thinking a note or sorts can be inside the lid as a reminder.
Thanks in advance

This would be a pretty easy 3D print project. Honestly I'd be looking at automating the lock mechanism. If you have some budget to work with I used the Liftmaster 8500W and it's a beautiful solution. Auto deadbolt, battery backup, wifi enabled if you want it to be. And it comes with one remote.

Just get a junction box that is tall enough for the opener to fit inside of. Connect the conduit to the j-box, but let the wires fly to the controller. It's low voltage so it will be about as dangerous as a t-stat or doorbell. An 8X6 should definitely work, maybe even a 6X4. You can get a 3R box with a hinged cover if you want to get really fancy.

If all you are trying to do is avoid having the opener work when the door is locked, how about making some type of swing down cover with a big note on it to remind them to unlock the door ?

Where are you at in Medford ?

What about a universal keypad opener? I've used on for years.
For those 3 button commercial door openers you need this unit and the matching keypad if the unit is not already wireless compatible.

But the OP has folks throwing the manual latch and forgetting to open that latch

I installed this in my warehouse RF Remote Control System for Commercial Overhead Doors PB3-DRC
