Snagged for a reasonable price, but not a steal. $50. Almost all US made. The guy threw in an old Craftsman box to carry the goods home. Sweetened the deal quite a bit.

Some I will keep, some are for Secret Santa.
Here are the highlights:

That Berylco wrench isn't brass, it's beryllium copper. It's non sparking for use where there is concern about flammable materials.

dan - It was a great deal. The price was fair and the seller was awesome. If we had more time we would have talked tools & guns all day. He had old Snap-on boxes that belonged to his dad full of tools.

cmandp - thanks for the insight. I was about to google it.

Those old cman locking pliers are nice. I've got a few, and they're the first ones I grab.

+1 on those. I have one Craftsman and a dozen or more ViseGrip, and I like the Craftsman one best.

I love that Snap-On ratchet, very nice.

The Kastar is a feeler gauge set. Used for setting valve lash, points gap, etc.

Interesting you guys like those craftsman vise grips. I have a pair or two clamped on dads old work bench il get a look at. Never seemed like they worked right, maybe some oil will wake them up!

That'd be a set of feeler gages. Usually graduated in thousandths of an inch.

Thanks guys.
I really dig those Fleet wrenches. Something about the feel of them and the quality of finish. No rough edges (flashing) anywhere.

Yes, hard to go worong for 50$, there are about a dozen pieces maybe a few more that would get hi use in general circulation here.

Thats a military snap on= no warrenty. Trade the c-man vise grips in for new. C-man badge on bo x is worth 5-10. imo, alot of that stuff is **** metal. When I see a box like that, I pick out all the good sellable (usable) tools, count the # of pieces, try to get the stuff for 1-3 apiece, then leave the scrap metal. If I don't do that, I end up hauling around 100s of pounds of stuff I can't sell. Even the good tools are hard to move in this economy.

Thanks for the insights and comments. I'm new at tool picking, although I recognized some of the better quality tools. I need to set aside the stuff for Secret Santa and then post a new thread so I can sell some of this stuff. Try to recover the $50 so the wife doesn't make me sleep on the front porch.

Those fleet wrenches are some of my favorites they are only behind vintage snap on combos on my list.
