Box Tubing

Hey guys
If I clean the seam out of 2 in box with 1/4 wall will 1 1/2 box with 1/4 inch wall slide in it with minimal slop or will it not fit. Trying to avoid the slop from 3/16 wall 2 inch.

It will still have slop. You need to look for "telescoping tubing", it is designed for a tight fit. I needed some for my chop saw stand project last year and almost ordered some off ebay. But then I strolled into a Goodwill store and spotted a small piece of exercise equipment that had just what I needed - for $5. I cut it up and made a extendable support arm out of it.

You can buy receiver tubing also, it does not have the seam.

Even with the many veri-speed DC motor re-use ideas around, no one thinks of re-using the frame.
