It would be hard to beat that for the price. If he needs more drawers he can buy more of them. They do go on sale for $319 pretty often.

Just keep in mind / caution him that a lot of those drawers are really shallow. Even large combination wrenches may be too tall to fit in them. If he's planning to keep sockets in it he'll either have to store them very low or store them in the top. I've got the 44" Bottom and I love the full width socket drawer on it. Waist height and tall enough for 1/2" Deepwells on a rail standing up. I was looking at that 26" for a long time before I was finally swayed and purchased the 44".

I've been eyeballing THIS Kennedy box for a while, I work in aviation as a machinist so most of my stuff is pretty thin. I have yet to see one in person though so I may hate it.

I had that box for a while and it was great because it fit a ton of tools. @Firworks is right on about the shallow drawers and layout. I'm 6'1 and it felt too tall too keep the sockets up top so I ended up going low.

The upside is that it is a lot of storage for the money and it's well built.
