Brad nailer size for exterior trim, 16, 18?

Will a 2 " galvanized 18 nail be enough? Do they even make 2" galvanized brads?

I've used Paslode brads in 25mm, 38mm, 50mm and 64mm lengths.

50mm is as near as dammit 2" long and if I remember right they are all 16 gauge and galvanised.

I've seen 2" galvanized brads in 18 gauge. I don't like them at all; way too long for that gauge. The always seem to twist and bend in weird ways when they go in.
The longest I put in my 18 gauge brad nailer is 1 1/4"
Now 2" is a good size for a 16 gauge finish nailer, but if you need any real holding strength, a 15 gauge angle finish nailer is much better, because those nails have real heads (not the tee head on a 16 gauge strip of nails).

This is the one I bought, I really like it. I had an 18ga for the smaller jobs; the 15ga seemed to fit my needs better than the 16ga nailer for the bigger jobs.
