Brake adjusting tool?

Can someone tell me how this thing works?

Would that allow me adjust the parking brake shoes without taking the rotor off?

I usually just take the rotor off and then start spinning that star wheel with a flat head screw driver as needed...

on most cars this is probably to large for rear park brake shoes as the holes for them aren't very big, this is an older tool used for rear drum brakes and invented in the days of four wheel drum brakes.

brake spoon, used to turn the star wheel on the bottom of drum brakes. if there is a slot that gives access to the star wheel, and that tool fits, I cant see why it would not work.

yee..just stick it in the access hole...and adjust away.

I haven't used mine since my "fleet" has transitioned to 4 wheel discs. I struggle to keep those parking brake shoes adjusted correctly - maybe its the answer!

Most rear parking brakes don't have access holes for adjustments on my fleet at work. However, a 1/8 flat tip screwdriver usually works well.
