Brake Fluid Damage... SIGH

I had a caliper burst on me overnight and the fluid sat on my poly floor and ate a nice trail into it.

I still have some clear and color left over as well as flake.

What would be the procedure to fix the damage?

I'm thinking just grinding with a hand grinder, put down some acetone to clean and then paint in some color... add flake... and then after it dries cover it with clear.

I'm just not sure how aggressive I need to go with the grinding. Can I get away with just sanding it 80 grit or something like that?

Do you have pics? We have no idea what kind of floor you have or what the damage looks like.

Generally you can clean up the spill, neutralize it, sand the area with 80 grit sandpaper, and re-apply the coatings that were affected. Hopefully shouldn’t have to break out the Grinder..

I had a poly coating on my last epoxy floor that brake fluid wouldn't eat into. What product is on your floor?

It's polyurea from garageflooring llc. But it wasn't like I spilled it and it ate into it. It happened the day before (not sure when) and I discovered it the next day so it probably sat on there for 12 hours.
