 Way back when, early 60's, before dinosaurs, I put brake fluid on my tires, as tire shine. A good wax job, an old style tire shine on the 54 Chevy, it not only looked good, BUT WAIT- Here it is!! It would stop on a dime!!! Ha-Ha:lol_hitti

Used to do that myself, made the tires look like new.

did you wipe that '54 down with gas to get rid of the dead paint, then wax it?

In addition to the lower boiling point from accumulated mositure. The moisture causes corrosion. Have you ever noticed ho bad cast iron master cylinders get?

I've been using brake fluid, kerosene, and diesel mixed together as a great penetrant. If I get an engine that is stuck, pistons stuck to the cylinders and all corroded and furry looking. I will pour that mixture in the plug holes several times over a week or so and each time give a little tug on a wrench on the crank nut.

It has always worked for me. I think a old timer told me that when I was very young and I've used it many times over the years.

Mm
