A guy down the street is selling a brand new snap on ct8810a lime green lithium 3/8s impact gun for 400 bucks. (630 off the truck new) I currently only have 2 1/2" impact guns (cp7732 and a cheap mastercraft one) and a dewalt 20v 1/4 impact driver. Should i bite and go buy it? Im only 17 so i dont got a ton of money to blow lol. Are they worth it?

No.

Only reason to buy Snap-On is for the financing and the warranty. If you're getting neither, you might as well go with a Milwaukee or Ingersoll Rand.

No, too much. Search Craigslist and ebay. Deals are there, with patience.

Thats alot cheaper then they are new. But if your shelling out hard cash buy an ignersol rand or Milwaukee your money would be better spent. Plus there is alot more tools offered from those two brands that will work with the batteries then snap-on offers.

I do agree with the no warranty. I dont use financing on the truck i give him cash because im not even 18 yet nor have a credit card haha. The other thing is that i dont live in a city, i live in a small town in the middle of nowhere so these kind of snap on items rarely come up on for sale sites. Im in no hurry to buy one tho. I just saw brand new snap on green on kijiji haha

$400 is a very good price for a new CT8810. They're normally 550-600. Neither the Milwaukee or IR 3/8" will touch the CT8810 when it comes to power.

PSH. 20 ft lbs ain't gonna make or break your operation.

If you want the torquiest compact gun on the market though, get the Metabo SSW18 LTX 400 BL, its a good 40-50% more power than the Milwaukee/IR gun.

One thing I've learned from having all these tools is that the torque specs are junk majority of the time. In actual use, the Milwaukee M18 Fuel is barely any more powerful than the old Snap On CT4410A. The 8810 blows away the 4410A. I use my IR 3/8" more than the CT4410 though, just because it's much lighter.
