Brand new floor coating? What prep?

So just bought a new house, and with that house is a new garage, and as far as I can tell no one has driven on it yet.
I tried to search what prep, but there is a lot of information on this site and I couldn't think of the search term to get my answer.

I was thinking some kind of epoxy. Being in Edmonton Alberta means some of the options I see listed are not available to me, or are just not as cost effective.

I really wanted racedeck, love the look of the black and white tiles with a red boarder. But it's just too expensive, and this is a parking daily drivers garage, not a show car garage. So I figure epoxy should be fine.

Being new concrete I do not know if there is anything I need to know or not.
And is there a finish that is easy to sweep/squeegee out and non slip, or at least no more slippery then normal garage floor?

Thanks,

Jeff:

We ship orders to drop couriers on the border for many customers in Canada.
Look into one of these services and you will save on shipping costs.

How hard would it be to make it look like a checkered tile floor with your product?

Can I use it to paint the bottom of wood cabinets and the like where they are sitting on the ground to protect it from water?
