Concrete poured in May. Thinking of doing a simple epoxy from a big box store.

Can i do it now or do i need to wait a certain amount of time?

Etch or grind. If I had cheap & easy access to grinders like you in the US I'd grind. Grinding gives you a more consistent profile.

IMO, don't use a big box store epoxy for a fresh new floor.. Spend a little more and get something here from a vendor.

The general rule of thumb is 30 days, but that can vary widely based on conditions. Do the 'plastic sheet moisture test' first. If you pass that, you should be fine.

(For reference, this test is taking a 4;square sheet of clear plastic, taping it down along the perimeter, waiting overnight and seeing if any dampness or worse, condensation appears. If neither, you should be fine). Make sure to grind or etch new concrete.
