Just curious - those with experience - can the older Branick strut compressors like the MST-580 be used on newer vehicles? Any limitations?

And, by newer, I'm talking about mostly German stuff from the 80s to around 2005 or so.

I'm considering one for my new shop, and just don't have the budget for a newer 7400 or 7200. I've been able to find the 580 more in my price range.

Thank you.

A good friend of mine has a Branick MST-580 that he paid $100 for. We just used it this week on the front OEM coil-overs on my 2010 Cadillac CTS-V. Worked great on that coil-over, we had it apart and a new damper swapped in a few minutes!

I also have the MST-580 A.
I paid $100 for it about 5 years ago.
No problems so far.

If anyone has the owner’s manual/instructions I’d like to get a copy just to have one.
Or know where to get one.
Branicks’ site doesn’t have it to download. Too old I’m guessing. I haven’t contacted them. They may have it available, but not listed.
I do have the 7800 manual. Probably not much different.
