Brass plumb bobs

I picked up these two plumb bobs the guy had quite a few for sale. I chose the General because it came with the original cardboard tube. The second one just looked very old to me I don't recognize the maker. Dose anybody recognize it

Doesn't look familiar to me, but just a PSA for those not aware, high end plumb bobs used to be filled with mercury, so if you see a plug screw under where the string goes in the cap, don't open it. My guess is these are solid brass though.
That's news to me I will keep that in mind. You are rite these do not have the plug screw.

LOL, It isn't like mercury will kill you if you see or touch a little bit of it.

Yeah but what if you think this isn't a plumb bob it's a bottle of magic potion and drink it on the spot.

It's definitely better to be aware that maybe it's not magic potion it could be mercury. Then you can look at it play with it while you decide weather or not to drink it.
