That's news to me I will keep that in mind. You are rite these do not have the plug screw.Doesn't look familiar to me, but just a PSA for those not aware, high end plumb bobs used to be filled with mercury, so if you see a plug screw under where the string goes in the cap, don't open it. My guess is these are solid brass though.
