My vids are short to the point.
Wondering how he dated it to the 30's? I think earliest patents were 31/31.

I just finished painting my B3 shear I purchased at auction, was trying to see about grease during re-assembly and noticed mine had a square brass tag, and not the traditional humped up one I saw then found this thread. So are the rectangular brass tagged units all way older?

I'd say about the same age... Other than mine having a "A" after B2 they look the same. Your tag looks longer left to right.

It’s just a tick over 2.5” wide. I guess for as old as this unit is, it’s in great condition. I sandblasted multiple layers of paint off, and knocked down a little casting flash and bondo’d up a couple small imperfections but as is it’s pretty nice. I think I paid 2-300 at auction and picked it up in Dayton Ohio from a shop that was closing.
