The wife and I just purchased a new construction home that we are just thrilled with. The house sits on a 1.6 acre lot that backs up to Dairy cow pasture, beautiful scenery. With the new house I will be building a new 30x50x12 insulated Post and Beam shop that will have 30x40 work space, 10x20 lounge/office and 5x10 bathroom and a 5x10 mechanical room.

At my previous house I built a metal 30x40x10 myself... looked great but I really regretted not insulating the building at time of construction. I get to learn from my mistakes this time around.

I expect to have the building erected in the next 4 weeks then over the next 6 months frame and finish the interior office/bath and run electric/plumbing and pneumatic lines.

In the photo you will see my 5.7L Hemi powered Jeep Wrangler...it is currently sitting in the location of the shop building.

I plan on it.... gonna be doing this one right. As it will be both shop and man cave. My previous 30x40 had a Home theater system that could be felt from 300ft away! the new one will be even better. All new speaker and sub designs which will be more accurate and a lot more efficient (louder).

Going with LED lighting this time around for when I do actual work in there I wont be waiting for the lights to warm up in the winter months.

I estimate it will take 6 months to get it the way I want it... I want nice finishes in the office/lounge area.

The building supplies got dropped off today, I expect the poles to be erected by Thursday pm. From there I do all my rough plumbing over the weekend and concrete on Monday!

Not really, just try to match color as best as possible. Tan walls and brown roof, trim and wainscoat. It should look nice but nothing spectacular, Im on a budget. :)
