Is the head of this 1/2" Nut Spinner (10-C?) original? The handle seems to lack a place for a spring loaded ball to index the square end. And it would have been handy yesterday. I love this thing otherwise.

Also, I have a very old F10L (late 40s date IIRC) and a new square end. The driver made it seem like the pin would drive out with a press easy peasy and the ends could be hammered back out so it would retain. Is that optimistic?

Thanks.

They had a sort of flat V piece of metal in the head, it was very thin and maybe only 25 percent of them made it this far with the spring intact, there are no parts for this model anymore, its from the 30s.

Thank you. I was hoping someone knowledgeable would check in.

The thin metal makes perfect sense.
