Thinkin about updating my fuse box to breakers and go from 100 to 150. What to do about the wires that r to short. Is it ok to just add a length and wire nut it???

Which "wires" are too short? the incoming feed wires or the ones going out to the circuits? next question, going from 100A to 150A. Is this the the main panel coming in from utility, a sub panel or what? You need to give us more info. What is your wire size/rating going to this panel?

If your talking about branch circuits just extend them with wirenuts. To upgrade you will prob have to replace the whole service if existing wire isn't the right size.

Definitely need more info! If youre talking main service upgrade, u most likely would have to change the service entrance wire and get permits!!

I upgraded my parents house from a 60 amp fuse panel with two pullouts and six screw in fuses, and installed a 30 place GE 200 amp main breaker panel with new service entrance cable, meter socket and disconnect and all. I tried to avoid the splices in the panel, and generally ran new NM cable back to the first box/junction/device in the circuit. I put a couple of 4x4 boxes in the attic above the panel and made some of the splices there, with new NM down the wall to the panel.
