I recently completed framing on my 30x40 detached. I felt comfortable wiring the receptacles and lights myself, so I did, hoping that my electrician would come finish running the wire from the meter on my house to the garage. He has ran into some health problems and I've been waiting 3 weeks and finally told me today that I might need to find someone else to finish it. So now I'm going to try to do ALMOST everything myself, with the exception of actually hooking into the meter. I have a guy coming to do that one day this week, but first I have to find a main breaker. I've attached a picture of what is on the meter that runs my house. According to the first electrician I need a 100 amp breaker. What is one of these style of breakers called?

Also, the electrician told me what kind of cable to buy (4/0 triplex.) How do the grounds work with triplex? Do I need a ground rod at the garage? Do I bond the neutral and ground with the bonding screw that came with the subpanel?

Cliff notes:

Meter attached to the house.
4/0 triplex in conduit buried to the shop.
100 amp Square D subpanel.
What type of breaker at the house?
How do I wire the grounds?

Thanks in advance.

Seimens 2 pole 100, you can get them at Home Depot or lowes. You need a separate ground bar also unless that is your main for the whole house
