Brick/stone vinyl siding

We are adding onto our garage and since it will be almost impossible to match the existing 13 yr old vinyl siding we wanted to try the brick/stone looking vinyl siding. Does any one have and good companies/websites they recommend or to stay away from?

Have a look at the Novik products. It's made here in Canada but I know it's distributed in the USA by Menards.

So far I've looked at fauxpanels.com and novik. I'm scouring google to find other companies

Cant help you with your decision but ...... you need to tell the person who is pressure washing your siding that you NEVER aim the nozzle upwards. All that does is force water behind the siding and invites mold, rot etc. You should always aim the nozzle at a downwards angle, which means either getting a big ladder or a very long nozzle extension.

Thanks for noticing that. It was my wife and at the time I did my best to nicely remind her about that. Not soon after I found the washer back in my hands if I remember correctly

Hey guys
Check out www.genstoneproducts.com out of Colorado. The manufacture a urethane stone panel with great detail. It's DIY if you want to avoid the cultured stone.
We used to distribute it but just dropped the line because of space limitations. We need the storage for our aluminum storage.
I put it on my house and some neighbors, and it looks fantastic. It is twice the cost of novik per square foot, but if you can do a few rows on the bottom of your house or a feature wall around your entrance you can keep your cost down and change the whole look of the house.
If I can find a picture of the garage I replaced that ugly cedar siding that looked like it was made with a shovel and axe, so I had a natural break from my stucco.

Gio, do you have any close up pictures of the corners or what is used at the top ? Normal vinyl uses inside/outside corners or J-channel, what does this stuff use ?

Here's all the panels and trims. On my place we only used the full corners. On bigger walls I like to mix lefts, rights and full corners so I don't end up with a pattern. We stopped carrying the full panels as in the siding industry the bigger the panel, the bigger the waste pile. Nailite was the same large panels for the fake shake panels. So novik started the single course and waste went down. It's the gable end walls that waste the most because when you cut to fit the slope of the roof you can't really use the cutoff.
