Eh, that is a tracing mill. IIRC call a true-trace. Not as versatile as the common universal mill.

That's pretty cool! I've never seen one before.

Would have bought it for the 800 beans.

Yea, they are not that great for general purpose milling IMHO. That smaller head looking thing on the right is a tracing head, which is then duplicated by the milling head on the left. Basically the milling version of a lathe duplicator. I've seen them setup with 3 milling heads. Downside is that they are kinda limited in heavy cuts IIRC. Still, for $800 if it isn't clapped out it would be nice, but I wouldn't go much over that. :beer:

I'm pretty sure they have hydraulic feed motors on them that make them a paint to convert to full manual. It's been a few years since I have fooled with them. A friends dad had one of those and a band file machine both converted to standard milling and bandsaw machine respectively. Personally I don't think the money he saved was worth it as they both had their quirks. But YMMV :dunno:
