Put the table in the middle of it's travel.Make sure it's unlocked. Now go to the end of the table and push and then pull the end of the table toward and away from the column. You are looking for wear in the table ways. Now run the table out to the end of it's travel. Note whether the table crank gets harder to turn. If it does this means that there is wear in the ways at the center of the table. This is typical of a machine that has not been oiled regularly during use. It's good that the machine has step pulleys. They run quieter than the variable speed heads and they require much less maintenance.

To me?? 750 to 2 grand, with power to match my shop (3ø 480 wouldn't do me any favors!) What else comes with it? How worn is it? Hear it run and make sure the bearings in the head aren't shot. Was it cared for or abused?
And remember, you still have to move this top heavy 2200 lb beast from where it is to where its going.
Then again - a whole shop? You could bundle it up with other "goodies" and probably do really well.

Bridgeport Milling Machine - Model #F-362-01-045; Type JV; 1hp; 3 phase to single phase converter; Frame 56-12; Design B; Code L; Complete set of hold downs; Shars vise; Power feed (like new); Full set of Collets (R-8); V-blocks, parallels..

Asking $2,500.

I forgot to run it, as I was there for other items and $2,500 was more than ik looking to spend, ATM.

Ways felt ok. A little bit, less than 1/16" or so of slop.

Probably a little on the high side, but depending on where you are at and what's for sale around you. I sold a J head, no power feed, no tooling for $1200.

I'd like to have it, but I think it's a little large for my use, ATM and a little more than im looking to pay.

I really want to upgrade to a Grizzly G0704 and CNC it.

that sounds like a nice tool package to go with the machine.....offer him 2000.00. A machine like that can perform many many operations, very versitile.
