A friend gave me a Bridgeport vice. It has about a 10 spread and weighs about 80 pounds. My problem is the slide is screwed in to about 2 inches and is stuck. I washed it in our power washer at work and tilted it and sprayed WD 40 and let it set overnight and it is still stuck. Any ideas on what to use would be appreciated.

First remove the moving jaw. There is a screw in the middle that backs out and then you can lift the jaw off. At this point you may have to remove the threaded collar on the hex side of the shaft. There should be thrust bearings on both sides. Now remove the shaft and slide assembly and put in a bench vise. I use an impact and lots of blaster oil. Clean and inspect. When reassembling use anti seize on the screw. Once you start the project it will go pretty quick.
