Briggs and Stratton Generator No Electric

I have a Briggs and Stratton 5550 generator and it stopped putting out electric recently. I thought I lost the magnetic charge but now I don’t know. I’ve been messing with it and it looks like something is weird between the legs.

If I plug a drill into one leg, and a light into the other leg, then pull the trigger to the drill, the light will turn on. Now if I plug them both into the same leg, this doesn’t work.

Any ideas?

Yeah he has some great videos. That’s who I’ve been watching but I haven’t seen one doing the same thing as mine yet.

Sounds like the neutral is disconnected.

Could be something as simple as the wire has vibrated off the receptacles or a splice has vibrated loose.
