Bright easy to read Socket labels.. anyone use these are they durable?

So i was looking through Amazon and i came across these socket labels that claim to be "durable".. it would be awesome to be able to quickly identify a socket on my cart from a quick glance unfortunately nobody makes any truly easy read sockets that are worth a damn. There are a few decent laser etched sockets but the etching doesn't last long. thye are only 4 bucks a set but before i order 3 sets and wast 12 dollars just want to se if any fello GJ members have any experiece with these.

That gives me an idea I use nail polish to color the safety selectors on my ARs I think Im going to try it on my sockets now. The nail polish holds up really well to abuse.

I have done the nail polish in red and black as well. Great minds.

In a pinch... I have used a black sharpie to bring out stampings. Like feeler gauges or drill bits.... now I also keep a digital caliper in my shirt pocket.

Seriously interested if someone uses those stickers.

It works really well. Kinda like this.....

All you do is put a few coats of nail polish on. Trying to get most of it in the cracks. Then take nail polish remover over top to remove the nail polish that isn't in the cracks.

Not an answer to your original inquiry, but Wright sockets are excellent quality and have very nice big size stampings.

I've had them for at least a year. I am a hobbyist not a full time mechanic. They have held up well and I am very pleased.

i have to try the nail polish trick on my impact sockets. My plan is to buy like 3 or 4 sets so that i can put 2 stickers on each socket so that i can read them no matter what position they are in laying on my cart. i spend so much time trying to find the 13mm vs the 14mm when doing big jobs that require a lot of different sizes to be on my cart. thats just one example.

I have the same labels as POS Racing. I like them, they are a LOT easier to see with my tired old eyes. I am not a heavy user, just weekend wrenching.

Have you considered, or does anyone have an example, color coding each socket? Get 4 or 5 colors (spray paint, paint pen, sticker) and go through, 8mm red, 9 yellow, 10 blue, 11 green, 12 red, etc. The first plant I worked in had this, so after using a few times, you know which is which. They would respray when the paint wore off.

I'll be going that route with sharpie paint pens, got a couple drying for a test run now, I'll post results.

I've used this, works pretty good and definitely easy to apply. I just let the "overspray" wear off.

I Don't have the stickers, but when I saw the nail polish trick I had to try it for a dollar and it actually worked went pretty quick. I just Painted it on let it dry then wipe it off... I might clear coat them as it will probably last longer, we'll see though. So far I'm very impressed at how well this worked

I have quite a few P&C brand sockets that have yellow paint in the stamping. They are very easy to read from afar. I don't know if they came that way though or if someone did it later.

You shouldnt need to clear coat them. I have my XDM's engraving painted just like the above example, and it doesnt come off even when using cleaner.

Well I ordered a set and Amazon says they shipped. Should have them by the end of the week. I ordered 3 sets to start... Won't be enough to get all my sockets, but it will be a good start. Going to skip the impact sockets since I can read those fairly well with the paint in the markings.

I have not hit the store to look for nail polish yet but that's also a plan.

I have those labels. If I were a pro, they would be worn off after a few months or a few trips to the parts washer. As a weekend wrencher, they are great, especially on my older Protos that have small markings. I've tried various colors on the chrome sockets, but the stickers are much better visually.
