I believe the safety issue he was concerned about was broken glass bottles, that is a true hazard. Drunken engine pulling is no big deal. Stick to cans.

I have built several engines using the same style lift and engine stand! Unfortunately they only lasted one day at the strip! And did not come with a warranty.But it sure was fun.
