Anybody here using this setup to document a building project. I'm thinking about buying it to record my new shop build over the next 6 months or so. I have a pole on site I may be able to mount it up 16-18 feet high. Seems really cool. Set it up and leave it for a few weeks.

I have a Brinno TLC200 Pro. It's pretty cool. I set it for a picture every second for the concrete pour, but have it at one per minute other than that. I pull the videos and delete the ones from days where I didn't do any work.

You can get a wifi memory card so you don't have to physically remove the card to pull the videos. I went a couple weeks without pulling the card and ended up filling it up and not getting some progress documented.

We're using one on a big project at work. We had it set up to take a photo every four hours. When we looked at the first six weeks the photos at night were kind of annoying. The flickering between day and night was distracting. I think that the guy the set it up to limit the photos to daytime hours somehow.
Otherwise the photos were great.

Hi, I ran across this discussion and decided to register to offer some insight and hopefully learn a little too. I am a co-founder of TimeLapseCameras.com we are the only Brinno Certified retailer in North America. The Brinno TLC2000 camera is a new release and we have one for evaluation. The Brinno TLC200 line of cameras are time tested, proven solutions for long term timelapse.

The BCC2000 bundle includes the TLC2000 camera, it's priced at $550 and the housing accepts up to 16 AA batteries. Due to the cost, design and other factors we will probably offer the camera on a special order only basis. However, until we complete long term testing we are still on the fence with this product.

Regardless, the Brinno TLC200 Pro (BCC200) would be a great camera for your project. You would only need to change batteries every 2 months, the cost is less, the camera is compact and it's suitable for a wide variety of projects.

We have another great camera option with long term battery life, optical zoom, wi-fi app control with full screen preview, motion detection and more. Please take a look at AfidusCam.com for details.

I am happy to answer any long term time lapse questions. Thank you! Marie

James, would you mind sharing which wi-fi card you are using? All of the cards we have tested consume battery power too quickly. With DC power they may work, however, they are becoming increasingly scarce. Thank you!

Wow, just noticed mine is the TLC200 Pro, not the $550 TLC2000. Oops.

I don't use a wi-fi card, but found they were available when doing my research. If possible, set the camera where you can keep it plugged in to solve the battery problem. You could even put it in a little bird-house type enclosure with a hole.

Have you guys tried the knock off go pros. They can do time lapse and have better image quality from what I've seen.
