Purchased a Worldwide Steel Building 48x38. Needed a 550 foot gravel access road extended, weather has been holding up everything. Received a call this morning that they were on the way with equipment to cut road. They were only able to haul 2 loads of rock today.

Went with all steel due inside clearance and cost. The cost savings by going with traditional pole barn to get inside height was not enough. This building will never have trusses in the way.

The building will be hobby car shop, finishing up a '68 Chevelle, nothing original on the car, but its mine.

Level ground is not level.

Good size shop. Is it a new business or just your own toys?
Original from Virden, Il, 60 mi. North of St. Louis. Love that river town.

Got me to thinkin` about growing up on the Mississippi. Near Alton, Batchtown and Hannibal, MO. Commercial fishing for carp, buffalo and channel cat. 1950`s.

Personal, I was running low on friends so I thought if I get a shop with a lift I might find some? Not sure it will work, we will see.

This area has so much to do, wish it was a little warmer. Family is here and grand kids and since I like them it would be tough to be away.

Slab poured, began the erection process going smoothly. Truss Columns Up and secured. Rest of lumber to be delivered in the morning will finish sidewall girts and set roof truss, I hope. Still receiving excellent support from manufacture. .

Looks like you taught her well. My dad made me hold the flashlight all the time or pump the brakes...."girls didn't do that kind of stuff" type of guy. Good thing I have a good memory, common sense and can read!

Looks nice.

I picked up my lift and was able to get it setup and anchored. Still have all the rigging to do but I am happy.

Spray foam insulation! Wow. That will keep you toasty. I sprayed the ceiling in my building. Now I am looking for something to cover it. Have you figured out what you will use on your ceiling? Everything seems to be at least $1.00 a square foot.

Yes it is toasty, lowest temp inside so far 40, no heater. I am not sure I am even going to cover it. I will protect areas around the milling machine and other equipment due to metal shavings.
